In my mind I'm going to Carolina. Can't you see the sunshine, can't you just feel the moonshine?
Ain't it just like a friend of mine to hit me from behind? Yes, I'm going to Carolina in my mind. - James Taylor
Yesterday, North Carolina announced that the powers that be removed more than 700,000 voter registrations from its rolls, explaining the unprecedented action as part of routine maintenance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of its voter database. According to state election officials, this process involves clearing registrations of individuals who have moved, passed away, or failed to respond to multiple notices regarding their voter status. The aim, they said, is to prevent voter fraud and ensure that only eligible voters remain on the roster, as required by federal and state laws, including the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).
Really? And, we have a bridge in Brooklyn we’d love to sell you. The question that every single journalist should be asking all day today is for the release of a list of the affiliations for those removed, but let’s face it, we won’t get that.
The MAGA party has to win North Carolina to have a pathway to victory. And, Trump won North Carolina in the last election by a mere 75,000+ votes. And, there were 7.3 million registered voters before the purge. That means they have removed almost 10% of the voters in the state. Imagine getting to the polls to vote on election day and being sold, #SorryNotSorry.
If you were registered in North Carolina, you must check to see if you are in face still registered, and register immediately if you were removed.
